These guidelines apply to everything you share in Elska — answers to the daily question, messages, group names, profile names and avatars. Questions? Write to hej@elska.app.
The spirit of Elska
Elska exists to bring people closer — families, friends and couples answering one shared question a day. Write to others the way you want to be met: curious, honest and respectful.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that violates these guidelines is removed, and the accounts behind it can be restricted or permanently closed — without notice for serious violations.
You may not share
Harassment, bullying or threats. Hate speech or discrimination. Sexually explicit content or unwanted sexual advances. Violence, self-harm or encouragement of either. Scams, spam or attempts to extract contact details or money. Other people’s personal information without their consent. Illegal content of any kind.
How we moderate
All shared content passes automated moderation, and reported content is reviewed manually. Blocked content is never shown to others — only to you, so you can rephrase.
Report and block
You can report content or people directly from any conversation (the ⋯ menu), and you can block a person so you can no longer contact each other. Reports are handled as quickly as possible and within 24 hours at the latest.
Consequences
Depending on severity we may remove content, issue a warning, temporarily restrict an account or close it permanently. Where we suspect criminal activity we contact the relevant authorities.
Age requirement
The group and chat features require you to be at least 16 years old. The rest of the app can be used at any age.
